{"id":373374,"date":"2022-08-02T06:06:57","date_gmt":"2022-08-01T20:06:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/?p=373374"},"modified":"2022-08-02T06:06:57","modified_gmt":"2022-08-01T20:06:57","slug":"two-more-nmc-graduates-pass-nclex","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/two-more-nmc-graduates-pass-nclex\/","title":{"rendered":"Two more NMC graduates pass NCLEX"},"content":{"rendered":"<figure id=\"attachment_373375\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-373375\" style=\"width: 960px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/2-mugs-cc17.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-large wp-image-373375\" src=\"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/2-mugs-cc17-1024x531.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"960\" height=\"498\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-373375\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Avelyne Alvarez and Cheng Shao<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Northern Marianas College nursing graduates Avelyne Alvarez and Cheng Shao have joined the long list of NMC graduates who have passed the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses or NCLEX-RN.<\/p>\n<p>The NCLEX-RN tests an individual&#8217;s nursing knowledge, skills and abilities essential to the safe and effective practice of nursing at the entry level. The exam is used by nursing boards in all U.S. states and territories to award nursing licenses.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s great to see more and more NMC nursing graduates pass the challenging NCLEX-RN,\u201d NMC president Galvin Deleon Guerrero, EdD said. \u201cI congratulate Avelyne and Cheng on this accomplishment.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>NMC Nursing Department chair Rosa Aldan also congratulated the two on their achievements.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAvelyne and Cheng have bright futures in the nursing field and we expect to see great things from them as their educational and professional journeys continue,\u201d Aldan said.<\/p>\n<p>Alvarez stated she wanted to pursue a career in nursing so that she could promote health and healing for others during difficult times. She attributes her success in the nursing program to her family\u2019s support.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI owe it all to my family\u2019s constant, unparalleled support, both emotionally and financially, throughout my entire educational journey,\u201d Alvarez said.<\/p>\n<p>According to Alvarez, NMC also gave her the resources and support she needed to pass the NCLEX. \u201cThe guidance, knowledge, and encouragement I received from my instructors also played a vital part in helping me step out into the field of nursing with confidence and a sense of pride,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>Alvarez advises all students who plan to take the exam to always trust in themselves.\u00a0 \u201cThere is no \u2018one-size-fits-all\u2019 approach to passing the NCLEX,\u201d Alvarez said. \u201cAs daunting as it may sound, facing the unimaginable is possible. Progress cannot be made if you continue to dwell in self-doubt and uncertainty.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Shao shared the same sentiments.\u00a0 \u201cMake a study plan, and stick with it no matter what,\u201d Shao said.<\/p>\n<p>As for the test preparation, Shao added that his instructors also played a big role in helping him prepare.\u00a0 \u201cNMC\u2019s comprehensive NCLEX review and the Kaplan review program prepared me for the exam,\u201d Shao said. \u201cDiscipline also played a big role as well.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>For more information about NMC&#8217;s nursing program, email Aldan at rosa.aldan@marianas.edu or call 237-6744.
