The University of Guam Baseball Team takes no break, as the Tritons just came off a very successful first season in the Guam Major League with an 8-6 record and tied for a fifth place finish out of 12 teams in the standings.<\/p>\n

Fall tryouts begin on Thursday and Friday of this week at George Washington High School baseball field for full-time UOG students to play baseball in the fall semester, as the Tritons will join the Guam Amateur League for their fall season in the 10-team league. The UOG squad expects most of their players from the Spring\/Summer team to rejoin the squad plus add at least five new players to the roster if not more.

Coach Roke Alcantara Jr. hopes to have a roster of 18 players or maybe a few more (Amateur League allows up to 24 players). The Tritons struggled at times during the Guam Major League season with only 10-12 players available for games and the coaching staff had to play at times.<\/p>\n

The Guam Amateur League begins play during the Labor Day Weekend coming up soon at the Okkodo High Baseball Field.
