{"id":375838,"date":"2022-09-14T06:00:33","date_gmt":"2022-09-13T20:00:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/?p=375838"},"modified":"2022-09-14T06:00:33","modified_gmt":"2022-09-13T20:00:33","slug":"lds-youth-help-clear-overgrowth-in-romanum","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/lds-youth-help-clear-overgrowth-in-romanum\/","title":{"rendered":"LDS youth help clear overgrowth in Romanum"},"content":{"rendered":"<figure id=\"attachment_375840\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-375840\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/LDS-pix-1wb.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/LDS-pix-1wb.jpg\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-375840\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">The Romanum Chuuk church meetinghouse in Romanum on Chuuk  in the Federated States of Micronesia.(CONTRIBUTED PHOTO)<br \/><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Seminary and Institute youth participated in a Helping Hands project on the island of Romanum located in the Chuuk Lagoon, part of the Federated States of Micronesia last Aug. 27.<\/p>\n<p>The Romanum Branch meetinghouse, part of the Chuuk Namoneas District of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, is settled on a hill, nestled in the tropical foliage of breadfruit, papaya, and coconut trees.<\/p>\n<p>Sunshine and rain has encouraged overgrowth of vegetation along the path to the meetinghouse.<\/p>\n<p>This Helping Hands project accomplished their goal of clearing out the overgrowth from the path leading to their church meetinghouse, making it easier for members to make their way to church service on Sundays.<br \/>\n<figure id=\"attachment_375841\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-375841\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/LDS-pix-2wb.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/LDS-pix-2wb-300x227.jpg\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-375841\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Romanum Chuuk Branch with District president Rodolfo Gacayan, his wife, and Seminary and Institute youth.
