In honor of International Coastal Cleanup Day this Saturday, Run Saipan partnered again with Salty Skin Pacific for the 2nd Annual ICC 5K at the Tank Beach in Kagman.<\/p>\n
The shotgun start is at 6am and the beach cleanup will happen thereafter at 7am.<\/p>\n
Run Saipan president Edward Dela Cruz Jr. said that there will be no last day to register for the race as it\u2019s open until the very morning of the event.\u00a0<\/p>\n
He said \u201cthat\u2019s the perks of using race roster. People can just decide the morning they wake up if they want to join our 5K. Just quick online registration.\u201d<\/p>\n
It will be their first 5K in Kagman and Dela Cruz said that he \u201chopes people, especially runners, join our beach clean up this Saturday at 7am in support of [Coastal Resources Management\u2019s] tradition of the ICC even if they don\u2019t want to do the 5K beforehand.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cI beg the people of Kagman to make sure their dogs are restrained this Saturday because it\u2019s not just us that will be out there. PSS Cross country students will be running around. I hope motorists will be more aware and drive slowly, especially those heading to the HANMI golf tournament. It\u2019s a beautiful day for Kagman this weekend! So many things going on!\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
\u201cEveryone that signs up for the 5K will be given a raffle ticket. After the beach clean up we will be giving out raffle prizes\u201d he added.<\/p>\n
Java Joe\u2019s, Salty Skin Pacific, and Latte Built have donated prizes to the event. \u201cLatte built is always known to give spectacular free gym membership prizes at Run Saipan events\u201d said Dela Cruz.<\/p>\n
The Top 3 fastest runners will also be getting Run Saipan award medals.<\/p>\n
