{"id":376530,"date":"2022-09-26T06:00:17","date_gmt":"2022-09-25T20:00:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/?p=376530"},"modified":"2022-09-26T06:00:17","modified_gmt":"2022-09-25T20:00:17","slug":"nmc-to-livestream-chamber-2022-gubernatorial-debate","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/nmc-to-livestream-chamber-2022-gubernatorial-debate\/","title":{"rendered":"NMC to livestream Chamber 2022 gubernatorial debate"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Saipan Chamber of Commerce 2022 Gubernatorial Candidate Debate is sold out almost immediately after the announcement of the event.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The Chamber understands the high demand for this debate and is excited to announce that the Northern Marianas College will be livestreaming the event for the community via their Facebook page.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>In addition to NMC\u2019s livestreaming, the Chamber has invited media partners to join the event so that the information is well covered for individuals who were not able to secure an RSVP.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The Chamber will host the 2022 Gubernatorial Candidate Debate for the CNMI Gubernatorial Candidates on Thursday, Sept. 29, 2022, at the World Resort Saipan, Taga Hall, from 5:45pm to 8pm.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The Chamber extends thanks to the community for their support as it prepares for the upcoming 2022 Gubernatorial Candidate Debate. RSVP is closed and is sold out.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The Chamber also extends thanks to the running gubernatorial candidates for accepting our invitation and look forward to a productive and exciting event.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>As the debate nears, the Chamber wants to remind its patrons of the following rules:\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>AUDIENCE RULES<\/strong><br \/>\n\u25a0 Entry to the debate hall requires a ticket confirmation number in the form of a QR Code or Registration ID. No confirmation number, no entry, no exceptions.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u25a0 Event is open to the general public. Tickets are $10 each.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u25a0 No campaign materials, literature, hats, stickers, signs, banners, or the like shall be displayed or distributed at or around the debate venue.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u25a0 Audience shall refrain from talking, applauding, making noise, and doing anything visible or audible to express support or opposition to any candidate during the debate.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u25a0 All electronic devices must be turned off or set to silent mode. If you must take a call, exit the hall quietly. To avoid distractions, you will not be allowed to re-enter the hall until intermission or after the debate.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u25a0 The use of mobile phones or devices to take photos or video shall not be permitted during the debate but such use may occur during intermission or after the debate.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u25a0 No person shall be allowed on the stage area except candidates, the Chamber president, staff, and event\u00a0 committee\u00a0 chairperson.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>VENUE RULES<\/strong><br \/>\n\u25a0 No betel nut chewing or chewing of any kind, smoking\/vaping, or alcohol consumption during the event.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u25a0 No outside food allowed inside the hall. Refreshments will be sold outside the hall.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>This debate is offered in the effort to further educate voters on the issues of our island by presenting the opportunity to hear differing opinions and solutions, and for those who are unfamiliar with the various platforms of each candidate.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The Chamber is a non-profit organization with over 130 members to date. The SCC was founded in 1959 and incorporated in 1976. It is the largest private business organization in the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands. The Chamber works to promote and protect the business, economic, and civic interest, and general health and welfare of our islands.
