Ralph DLG Torres\u2019 defense team and the Office of the Attorney General to continue the status originally set for Sept. 26 to sometime after the November elections.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Yesterday, Superior Court Judge Pro Temp Alberto Tolentino granted the stipulation, or agreement, between the OAG and Torres\u2019 defense team to push back the recent court proceedings in Torres\u2019 criminal case to sometime after Nov. 28.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands and Ralph Deleon Guerrero Torres, by and through their respective counsels, hereby file this stipulation to continue the Sept. 26, 2022 Status Conference and agree as follows: 1. A Status Conference is currently scheduled for Sept. 26, 2022 at 3pm before Judge Pro Tem Alberto E. Tolentino. 2. Based on the parties\u2019 discussion and the posture of the case, the parties hereby stipulate to continue the Status Conference until sometime after Nov. 28, 2022,\u201d the order stated.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>In addition, Torres\u2019 counsel has decided to waive Torres\u2019 right to speedy trial.\u00a0<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Superior Court has granted the stipulation between Gov.
