After being credited with introducing and helping to launch the CNMI\u2019s first cybersecurity operation through their partnership with InteliSecure, Inc., Latte Training Academy, Inc. realized the power of creating employment opportunities within the CNMI. Building off their success, the organization has now shifted to offer its participants the opportunity to train and operate within the retail industry.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cThe organization recognized the benefit to not only training residents, but more importantly in the power of employment creation. We saw this in the cybersecurity industry and decided to utilize our resources to begin setting up operations which not only train participants but creates employment opportunities for them. With that, we launched the Next Level Thrift & Consignment Shop as a starting point. As part of the program, participants can receive training through the National Retail Foundation (NRF) and gain employment within the Next Level operations,\u201d said LTA secretary Alexis Hofschneider.<\/p>\n
The Next Level Thrift & Consignment Shop is located at 303 Marianas Business Plaza and offers gently used clothing and locally crafted goods at a bargain rate. The focus is to allow participants to gain firsthand experience in areas to include merchandising, customer service, inventory management, marketing, sales and accounting which supplements their coursework through the NRF.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cThis is part of LTA\u2019s new direction. In previous years, we have focused just on classroom and online course offerings, with little to no practical experience. When we partnered to launch the CNMI Cybersecurity operations, we saw the power was really in the employment opportunities created as a result. The Next Level Thrift & Consignment Shop is just the first in a series of operations that LTA plans on launching. Our next endeavor will focus on the utilization of social media content editing and management, which is an emerging trend in the tech industry. We want to be able to provide industry development in industries that allow us to create employment opportunities on Tinian and Rota, as well as in Saipan,\u201d said LTA president Juan-Carlos Benitez.\u00a0<\/p>\n
