GUAM\u2014Caregivers of persons with dementia are invited to more presentations in October.<\/p>\n
Recognizing pain and minimizing falls are among the session topics.<\/p>\n
There will be sessions for families and caregivers to know some of the legal services the Guam Elder Justice Center can offer.<\/p>\n
In addition, a presentation by Michael Bevacqua, Guam Museum curator and CHamoru scholar, will discuss reminiscing as a form of therapy. He will also discuss writing life stories.<\/p>\n
These sessions are conducted by the Guam\/Micronesia Geriatrics Workforce Enhancement Program of the University of Guam School of Health, with a grant from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.<\/p>\n
The sessions are free of charge to partners, family members, and other caregivers of persons with dementia who have ties to Guam and the Micronesian region.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Topic: Reminiscence Therapy and Life Story Writing
