{"id":377106,"date":"2022-10-05T06:06:19","date_gmt":"2022-10-04T20:06:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/?p=377106"},"modified":"2022-10-05T06:06:19","modified_gmt":"2022-10-04T20:06:19","slug":"chong-is-project-coordinator-of-fomt","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/chong-is-project-coordinator-of-fomt\/","title":{"rendered":"Chong is project coordinator of FOMT"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Friends of the Mariana Trench is welcoming Romana Chong as project coordinator of Project HOPE (Healthy Ocean &amp; People Empowerment).\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Chong is coordinating Project HOPE, an ocean science program for CNMI sixth graders funded by a grant from the Administration of Native Americans (ANA) and made available through a partnership with the CNMI Public School System.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The free afterschool science program will take place at the Guma Sakman on Mondays from 12:30pm to 5:30pm. Students will participate in ocean conservation learning activities with a team of college students, outreach specialists, and ocean elders.
