{"id":377311,"date":"2022-10-07T06:06:07","date_gmt":"2022-10-06T20:06:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/?p=377311"},"modified":"2022-10-07T06:06:07","modified_gmt":"2022-10-06T20:06:07","slug":"yeom-says-ipis-senior-advisors-lack-ccc-license","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/yeom-says-ipis-senior-advisors-lack-ccc-license\/","title":{"rendered":"Yeom says IPI\u2019s senior advisors lack CCC license"},"content":{"rendered":"<figure id=\"attachment_377312\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-377312\" style=\"width: 225px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/IPI-pix-Yeom.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-377312\" src=\"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/IPI-pix-Yeom-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-377312\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Andrew Yeom<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Commonwealth Casino Commission executive director Andrew Yeom has disclosed that all of Imperial Pacific International (CNMI) LLC\u2019s senior advisors as indicated in IPI\u2019s current organization titles, do not have a CCC license at this time.<\/p>\n<p>Yeom, in his recent report to the CCC board, said based on IPI\u2019s active employee status report submitted to CCC, the company has key management employees.<\/p>\n<p>He said lacking a CCC license is a major violation of the law and the casino regulation.<\/p>\n<p>In the meantime, Yeom said, these key management employees have submitted applications for registration to CCC just so that they can talk to CCC as \u201ca work around only.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>On the question if the CNMI government has an account for arbitration with IPI, he said it seems that no one really knows if such an account exists.<\/p>\n<p>Yeom said no one at CCC, even himself, knows who to even talk to about this matter.<\/p>\n<p>On Aug. 24, 2022, U.S. District Court for the NMI Chief Judge Ramona V. Manglona granted IPI\u2019s request for a preliminary injunction against CCC to prohibit the commission from revoking IPI\u2019s exclusive casino license.<\/p>\n<p>Manglona issued the order to allow IPI to pursue its right to arbitration.
