The Superior Court imposed a $5,000 cash bail on a man who was arrested for allegedly throwing a rock and a cooler at his neighbor\u2019s door in a fit of rage. <\/p>\n
Superior Court associate judge Joseph Camacho imposed a $5,000 cash bail on Thomas Aquino Camacho on charges of disturbing the peace and vandalism. <\/p>\n
The judge remanded Camacho back to Department of Corrections custody following the bail hearing and ordered the defendant to return to court on Oct. 13, at 10am for a preliminary hearing. <\/p>\n
According to court documents, at around 2:21pm last Oct. 2, Department of Public Safety officers were called to respond to a call for police assistance at a residence in Chalan Kanoa. <\/p>\n
The caller, MD Mehadi Hossain, claimed that his neighbor, Camacho, threw a rock and a cooler at his door and threatened his family. <\/p>\n
Hossain told police that at around 2:15pm that day, he and his family were cleaning the inside of their house when they heard Camacho shouting and cursing outside of their main door. <\/p>\n
Camacho then allegedly threw a rock at their metal screen door, which damaged the top portion of the door, followed by Camacho throwing a cooler that broke the door\u2019s metal handle.<\/p>\n
In addition, Hossain said Camacho proceeded to the victim\u2019s front yard and threw the broken doorknob and cooler at the sliding door, which caused the metal mesh frame to rip. <\/p>\n
This prompted Hossain to call authorities. <\/p>\n
Aside from this incident, Hossain said Camacho has been harassing him and his family for several months. <\/p>\n
Hossain mentioned that back in September, when Camacho was drunk, he would shout and kick their door saying, “You cannot stay here!”. <\/p>\n
On Sept. 22, at around 12pm, Hossain was outside his residence near his car when he saw Camacho standing outside his balcony. <\/p>\n
Hossain alleges that Camacho lit a firecracker and threw it near him and his car. <\/p>\n
After Hossain moved his car and made his way to his house, Camacho allegedly said, “Why did you move your car? I’m going to kill you, guys. Don’t run away. If I find any of you\u2026I’m going to kill you, guys. This is my island, go back to your guys’ island.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
