Three health sites in the CNMI will be participating in the DEA National Prescription Drug Take Back Day this Saturday, Saturday, Oct. 29, 2022, from 10am to 2pm, during which they will accept unused prescription drugs for disposal.<\/p>\n
\u00a0The three sites in the CNMI that are taking part in this Drug Enforcement Administration-led activity are the Outpatient Pharmacy at the Commonwealth Health Center on Saipan, the Rota Health Center in Songsong Village, Rota, and the \u00a0THC Pharmacy of the Tinian Health Center. They will be joining thousands of collection sites around the country, including in Guam, that offers free and anonymous disposal of unneeded medications at thousands of local drop-off locations nationwide. <\/p>\n
The DEA will not be accepting new or used needles and syringes, nor will the DEA collect vape pens or e-cigarette
\ndevices.<\/p>\n
Working in close partnership with local law enforcement, Take Back Day has removed more than 7,600 tons of medication from circulation since its inception.<\/p>\n
The following sites in Guam are designated to receive unused prescription drugs: Agana Shopping Center (Triangle Court); Andersen Air Force Base Exchange (Main Base Exchange); Dededo Senior Center; Guam Premier Outlet; and Naval Base Guam \u2013 Navy Exchange (Food Court).<\/p>\n
