{"id":37931,"date":"2014-06-05T04:00:57","date_gmt":"2014-06-04T18:00:57","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/?p=37931"},"modified":"2014-06-05T04:00:57","modified_gmt":"2014-06-04T18:00:57","slug":"hyatt-tops-taste-marianas-chefs-competition","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/hyatt-tops-taste-marianas-chefs-competition\/","title":{"rendered":"Hyatt tops Taste of the Marianas chefs\u2019 competition"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The 16thAnnual Taste of the Marianas International Food Festival &amp; Beer Garden had its grand finale for the year on Saturday (May 31) night, with Hyatt Regency Saipan taking home top honors in the Chefs\u2019 Competition.<\/p>\n<p>The Taste of the Marianas bringssome of the best of island cuisine and entertainment to American Memorial Park each Saturday during May Tourism Month in the Northern Mariana Islands.<\/p>\n<p>Hyatt bested Saipan World Resort (2nd place), Mariana Resort and Spa (3rd place), Pacific Islands Club Saipan, and Fiesta Resort &amp; Spa for presenting the best \u201cMexican Beef Tacos\u201d made with Certified Angus Beef.  The Hotel Association of the Northern Mariana Islands provided $1,000 in cash prizes for the event.<\/p>\n<p>Winners were also announced for the Booth Decorating Competition, with Fiesta Resort &amp; Spa garnering top honors.
