Ralph DLG Torres is touting this week\u2019s visit by movie producer Brad Krevoy, who is reportedly planning to set up shop in the Commonwealth.<\/p>\n<p>An Office of the Governor news release confirmed that Krevoy will be coming to Saipan this week, stating that \u201cKrevoy is set to create a film industry in the CNMI by developing a movie studio, creating new jobs for local residents, and producing a minimum of 20 motion pictures during the next five years.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Northern Marianas College will be hosting a meet and greet with Krevoy at the Hafa Adai Roasting Company Cafe in T-Galleria today, Nov. 21, from 6pm to 8pm.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI want to thank Mr. Krevoy for accepting my invitation and taking the time to visit the CNMI. I also want to express my gratitude for his interest in wanting to help diversify the CNMI\u2019s industries, as he would be bringing his experience and expertise to the Marianas to develop a film industry based here,\u201d said Torres in the Office of the Governor news release.<\/p>\n<p>Torres said he has always advocated for the diversification \u201cof our industries here in the CNMI for our economy and for our people.
