(CONTRIBUTED PHOTO)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Tanapag Middle School\u2019s varsity and junior varsity teams made light work of their foes once again last Tuesday in the NMIVA-PSS Interscholastic Middle School Volleyball League 2022-2023 at the Marianas High School Gymnasium.<\/p>\n<p>The Tatagas\u2019 varsity team overpowered Francisco M. Sablan Middle School in two rapid-fire sets, 21-5, 21-8, not giving the Napu Riders a chance to recuperate.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, the junior varsity Tatagas volleyed past Hopwood Middle School junior varsity in three sets after mishandling the first set, but regained their composure in the second and tie-breaking set, 15-21, 21-8, 15-9.<\/p>\n<p>In other games that night, Saipan International School junior varsity defeated Dandan Middle School in three sets, 11-21, 21-5, 15-9; Saipan Community School trounced HMS varsity, 21-15, 22-20; ChaCha Oceanview Middle School beat Mount Carmel School, 21-19, 14-21, 15-12; and DMS varsity defeated Grace Christian Academy varsity, 21-6, 21-13.<\/p>\n<p>The Tatagas\u2019 varsity team include sisters Erica Zandueta and Rhodalyn Zandueta, Jayme Vargas, Wynona Blas, Hailey Benavente, and Karmel Lucas.<\/p>\n<p>The Tatagas\u2019 junior varsity team consist of Telinamae Mality, Chloe Achas, Joselen Sablan, Bethanie Delos Santos, Jonielle Pua, Carmen Wenio, Chelsea Santos, Lana Taule, and Kayshlie Aguon.<\/p>\n<p>In the standings, HMS leads with their squeaky clean 4-0 record; the Tatagas varsity team is in a three-way tie for second place with SIS and GCA, with 3-0 records; DMS is at 1-2; FMS and COVMS are at 1-3; MCS and SCS are at 0-4; Rota Jr. High School and Tinian Jr. High School have yet to see action.<\/p>\n<p>In the junior varsity standings, the Tatagas are in first place with a 3-0 card; GCA is behind with 2-0; SIS and DMS both have 1-2; FMS is at 1-1; and HMS has yet to win with three losses.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Tanapag Middle School\u2019s varsity and junior varsity teams made light work of their foes once&#8230;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":25,"featured_media":380223,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[5],"tags":[9120],"class_list":["post-380283","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-sports","tag-ms"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/380283","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/25"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=380283"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/380283\/revisions"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=380283"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=380283"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=380283"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
