(MARK RABAGO)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>McDonald\u2019s Guam and Saipan owners Jose \u201cJoe\u201d Ayuyu and Marcia \u201cRuri\u201d Ayuyu once again welcomed the New Year with a festive gathering of family, friends, and business associates at their Papago home last Jan. 1.<\/p>\n<p>The New Year\u2019s party had everything\u2014entertainment from local artist Marvin Deleon Guerrero, a nice buffet spread, and a grand fireworks display that rivaled the ones set off by the island\u2019s leading hotels.<br \/>\n<figure id=\"attachment_382927\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-382927\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/McDonald\u2019s-pix-2wb.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/McDonald\u2019s-pix-2wb.jpg\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-382927\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">McDonald\u2019s Guam and Saipan owners Jose \u201cJoe\u201d and Marcia \u201cRuri\u201d Ayuyu and their children welcome their guests at the New Year\u2019s party last Jan. 1.(MARK RABAGO)<br \/><\/figcaption><\/figure><\/p>\n<p>The couple\u2019s son, Joe Ayuyu Jr., started the evening\u2019s activities by welcoming everyone who graced the New Year\u2019s party.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThose who traveled far and many miles away thank you for being here to share this first day together with us and our loved ones and friends\u2026 We hope everyone had a great 2022 and we look forward to spending 2023 with all of you guys,\u201d he said before asking everyone to raise their glasses for a Happy New Year toast.<\/p>\n<p>Marcia also seconded her son when she welcomed everyone to the event, which they\u2019ve been hosting for the past 20 or so years.<br \/>\n<figure id=\"attachment_382928\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-382928\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/McDonald\u2019s-pix-3wb.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/McDonald\u2019s-pix-3wb.jpg\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-382928\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Local artist Marvin Deleon Guerrero provided the evening\u2019s entertainment.(MARK RABAGO)<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe whole year 2022 went by so fast and we\u2019re looking forward to spending time with you again at the end of 2023. Thank you so much for being here tonight as it means a lot to me and my family.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Ayuyu matriarch went on to say that 2022 was truly a blessed year for the local franchise holder of the McDonald\u2019s fast food restaurant in the Marianas.<\/p>\n<p>The reopening of the newly refurbished and modernized McDonald\u2019s Middle Road store was one of the highlights of 2022 as far as the company was concerned.<\/p>\n<p>The Chalan Kiya location\u2019s $2-million renovation happened in phases.
