(NMC)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>As part of its efforts to help the Northern Marianas College promote its upcoming golf tournament in March, radio station Power 99 recently donated $5,000 worth of radio advertisements to help market the event.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPower 99 is proud to support the NMC golf tournament once again,\u201d Power 99 general manager Tina B. Palacios said. \u201cOur radio station has always been a supporter of the college and its mission to provide quality higher education to the CNMI community.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>For the first time, NMC\u2019s tournament will be a two-day event and will be held on March 18 and 19, 2023, on the east and west courses of the LaoLao Bay Golf and Resort. The tournament fee for the 2023 golf open is $250.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNMC is grateful to Power 99 for helping us promote the CNMI\u2019s premier golf tournament,\u201d NMC Foundation board chair Ben Babauta said.<\/p>\n<p>The tournament, which is the signature event of the NMC Foundation, aims to raise funds for the college for its rebuilding and reconstruction efforts. Despite the devastation and destruction of Super Typhoon Soudelor and Yutu, the college has been aggressively seeking funds from all available sources to rebuild classrooms, offices, labs, and workforce spaces for the CNMI community. The college is seeking the CNMI private sector\u2019s support through fundraising events like the golf tournament.<\/p>\n<p>Interested companies and individuals who would like to help the college with its rebuilding efforts can donate educational tax credit, cash, or in-kind contributions by visiting www.marianas.edu\/golf or by contacting NMC Foundation coordinator Carla Sablan at <a href=\"mailto:carla.sablan@marianas.edu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">carla.sablan@marianas.edu<\/a> or (670) 237-6780.<\/p>\n<p>Golfers who would like to register for the upcoming tournament can also visit www.marianas.edu\/golf.
