{"id":383631,"date":"2023-01-19T06:06:47","date_gmt":"2023-01-18T20:06:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/?p=383631"},"modified":"2023-01-19T06:06:47","modified_gmt":"2023-01-18T20:06:47","slug":"uog-press-seeking-works-from-young-creatives-for-special-youth-publication","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/uog-press-seeking-works-from-young-creatives-for-special-youth-publication\/","title":{"rendered":"UOG Press seeking works from young  creatives for special youth publication"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The University of Guam Press is seeking works from young creatives, including poetry, short stories, creative essays, photographs, art, and music, for a special youth publication.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>UOG Press would like to encourage youth to create art that shares the stories and visions most important to them.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The Press will host a series of creative writing and creative arts workshops in support of this aim.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe want our youth to have the opportunity to become published artists. They\u2019ll be able to see their work on the page, alongside other creatives, and they can take pride in sharing it with family and friends,\u201d said Kiana Brown, project manager for the Youth Empowerment Initiatives at UOG Press.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Writers and artists must be between the ages of 5 and 18 years old to submit.
