Tapochao 5K course on Sunday.(CONTRIBUTED PHOTO<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/p>\n<p>All 38 runners plus man\u2019s best friend started their journey on Day 1 in the early morning of Saturday, Jan. 14 from the Kensington to Marpi and back 10K course.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>In the late afternoon of Sunday, Jan. 15, Day 2 had them trodding up the Mt. Tapochau 1-way 5K course.<\/p>\n<p>Not 12 hours later, in the early morning of Monday, Jan. 16, they took their weary, jelly-like legs to Day 3\u2019s Oleai Beach Road Pathway 5K course, which finally capped off the three-day running event inspired by the three-day Isle of Man Easter Festival of Running in the British Isles.\u00a0<br \/>\n<figure id=\"attachment_383657\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-383657\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/Run-Saipan-pix-1wb-2.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/Run-Saipan-pix-1wb-2-300x169.jpg\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-383657\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Dr. Ron Snyder and his dog, Gilligan, trod up the Mt. (CONTRIBUTED PHOTO)<br \/><\/figcaption><\/figure><\/p>\n<p>Run Saipan president Edward Dela Cruz Jr. said after the event that this will not be the first and last time he will put Saipan\u2019s runners through a three-day consecutive race. \u201cWe\u2019re doing this every single year, every January, every MLK three-day weekend. We\u2019re going to try to make this the next jewel race of the Pacific.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Dela Cruz added that for next year\u2019s race, the courses will most likely be changed but that he would like to keep the Mt. Tapochao 5K course.<\/p>\n<p>He also said, \u201cEveryone came here with destroyed legs but they did an amazing job to get this done.
