Children ages 1-12 can play to their heart\u2019s content at Colorful Sunshine Kids Playground & Shopping Center.<\/p>\n

Owner Jinhua Wu said they\u2019re giving away 300 coupons that entitles bearers to a $10 unlimited playing time for children 12 years and below with the promotion ending on May 31, 2023.<\/p>\n

For children 13 years and above, Colorful Sunshine Kids Playground still has dozens of video arcade games, basketball machines, and claw games with amazing prizes at only $1 for four tokens.<\/p>\n

Come to think of it, there\u2019s never a dull moment once you step inside the almost fantasy world-like wonder that is Colorful Sunshine Kids Playground.<\/p>\n

Aside from its expansive indoor playground with a whimsical theme complete with mini house, merry-go-round, slides, sandpit, and a fully functional jungle gym, it also has over 30 arcade games; train, spaceship, and motorcycle kids rides; adult and kids hoops machines; and the always cathartic Whac-A-Mole machines.

Wu proudly said that what truly sets them apart from other indoor playgrounds mushrooming all over the island is their sheer number of gaming machines and video arcades.<\/p>\n

Some of the more popular video arcade games include Tekken, Super Mario World, Sonic the Hedgehog, Bomberman, Tetris Puzzles, Pac-Man, and many other genres.<\/p>\n

And if your kid\u2014or even yourself\u2014fancies little toy trinkets, then you\u2019re in luck as gashapon or capsule toy machines line up Colorful Sunshine Kids Playground\u2019s child-proof walls.\u00a0<\/p>\n

If those capsule toys are not enough, Colorful Sunshine Kids Playground also sells toys and clothes at its mini retail store inside the establishment.\u00a0<\/p>\n

And because it also operates the nearby Party and Beyond restaurant, customers at the indoor playground can readily order food and drinks from Colorful Sunshine Kids Playground.<\/p>\n

Opened in April 2022, Colorful Sunshine Kids Playground was borne out of Wu\u2019s children lamenting the lack of indoor playground facilities on the island.<\/p>\n

\u201cI brought my two boys to China and everywhere you go there\u2019s indoors playground for kids\u2026then they asked \u201cMama why Saipan there\u2019s nothing?\u2019\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

Wu finally brought her children\u2019s dream into fruition after the former employee at T Galleria by DFS, Saipan got bored being a stay-at-home mom.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo I thought maybe I should just start something even if it\u2019s in a small location. I thought it was probably good to start by selling milk tea first and that eventually became Party and Beyond that we opened in September 2021,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

Then seven months later, Colorful Sunshine Kids Playground opened in the same building separated only by a laundry shop and poker parlor.<\/p>\n

Wu said so far so good as the business has been thriving as the local community has fully embraced the indoor playground even if the island is still in a pandemic.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cLast year when we opened we were very busy during the summer. Now, I can say we\u2019re full during the weekends only as there\u2019s no school.\u201d<\/p>\n

She\u2019s also not taking any risks as far as COVID-19 is concerned, saying that she and her staff are fully vaccinated and wear masks all the time.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe also always clean and fully sanitize the facility. We\u2019ve also bought an air purifier to make sure that healthy air circulates inside the indoor playground,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

Colorful Sunshine Kids Playground is a welcome addition to Saipan which until lately had been bereft of big city amenities like indoor playgrounds.<\/p>\n

\u201cI know Saipan is a tropical island and is good for outdoor and beach activities. But when it\u2019s raining it\u2019s also nice to treat your kids once in a while to an indoor kids playground like our\u2019s where it\u2019s air-conditioned and restaurant-quality food is available. Kids will have a great time and enjoy it,\u201d said Wu.<\/p>\n

Located next to Paradise Dental along Middle Road in Gualo Rai, Colorful Sunshine Kids Playground is open everyday from 11am to 8pm, Monday-Thursday and Sunday and from 11am to 8:30pm, Friday-Saturday.<\/p>\n
