(LEIGH GASES)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Both Marianas High School Dolphins and Agape Christian School teams are in the championship tournament after their last round-robin games in the co-ed high school Public School System\/TakeCare Badminton Interscholastic League held at the Gilbert C. Ada Gymnasium last Saturday.<\/p>\n<p>MHS Team 2 leads Bracket 1 with 70 points, while MHS Team 1 leads Bracket 2 with 67 points. Second in Bracket 1 is ACS Team 1 with 58 points and in Bracket 2 is ACS team 2 with 43 points.<\/p>\n<p>The Dolphins 2 defeated Saipan Southern High School 2 after sweeping the girls singles, boys singles, girls doubles, and mixed doubles for 3 points each event, for a final score of 14-1. Their only loss was in the boys doubles when they couldn\u2019t hold on for a perfect score and settled for 2 points.<\/p>\n<p>The Dolphins 1 team then collected a 12-3 win against the Mantas 1 after they swept the boys doubles, girls singles, boys singles, and girls doubles events. However, they couldn\u2019t get past the mixed doubles event and went 0-3.<\/p>\n<p>For the Torchbearers 1 campaign to the championship tourney, they defeated Saipan International School Team 1, 14-1. The Torchbearers claimed a sweep of 3 points each in the boys doubles, girls singles, boys singles, and mixed doubles\u2014save for a missed game in the girls doubles for 2 points.<\/p>\n<p>The Torchbearers 2 team claimed their spot in the championship round after they bested Grace Christian Academy Team 1, 13-2.
