(CONTRIBUTED PHOTOS)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>In celebration of International Women\u2019s Day,\u00a0members of the CNMI Woman\u2019s Association and the Office of the Governor\u2019s Woman\u2019s Affairs Office gathered together with members of the community to wave and show their support of women last Wednesday at the Garapan Fishing Base in Kristo Rai.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt was truly an inspiring movement to see all women, from all walks of life, diversity, and stories come together and celebrate International Women\u2019s Day,\u201d said Valentina Rivera, CNMI Women\u2019s Association\u2019s project director. \u201cI hope it won\u2019t just take a day to continue our progress from all issues that we are facing. As Beyonce once said, \u201cWho runs the world? Girls!\u201d, and from that, I second it!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>When asked to commenton what International Women\u2019s Day means to her, Edith Solayao said she sees the day as one of hope and encouragement to all women.<\/p>\n<p>Nancy Zhang said she can describe the day as one that is fun and inspiring.<\/p>\n<p>Shirley Ogumoru, special advisor to the Office of the Governor\u2019s Women\u2019s Affairs Office, who also joined the waving, said in encouragement to women \u201cLet\u2019s take it one day at a time and continue to inspire others!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>1.
