(CONTRIBUTED PHOTO)<br \/><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>SaeHee Kim finally hit paydirt in the CNMI Women\u2019s Golf Association after winning the March tourney last Saturday, March 11, at the east course of the Laolao Bay Golf &amp; Resort.<\/p>\n<p>Kim shot a net score of 65 to beat a field of 12 players. She fired a gross score of 80 following a 41 in the front nine and a 39 in the back nine, but it was slashed to the best score in March after her 15 handicap was deducted.\u00a0<br \/>\n<figure id=\"attachment_387172\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-387172\" style=\"width: 150px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/CWGA-pix-KimWB.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/CWGA-pix-KimWB-150x300.jpg\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-387172\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Kim<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/p>\n<p>\u201cMy driver was working so well and also my wedges. Missed some birdies because of my putter but overall, I\u2019m very satisfied with my game,\u201d said told <em>Saipan Tribune.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Kim said the almost perfect course conditions last Saturday played a part in her winning the monthly competition.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe weather was nice and hot and there was not so much wind.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Kim said she\u2019s happy to finally win in the CWGA after being a member for two and a half years.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI dedicate my win to my husband who is my coach and also to all CWGA members,\u201d said the right-hander who first picked up golf on Jan. 1, 2017.<\/p>\n<p>Coming in second to Kim in the March tourney was last month\u2019s winner, Niramai Koebel, who carded a net score of 69 after shooting a gross score of 83 (41-42).<\/p>\n<p>Third place went to Yuko Togawa after the Northern Marianas Pacific Mini Games 2022 women\u2019s coach closed with a net of 72 (gross of 81, 43-38).\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The rest of the 12-player field in the CWGA tourney, with their net scores in parenthesis, were as follows: Sonny Son Hyun (72); Clara Chung (72); Emily Qiu (73); Sherlyn Jones (74); Lorraine Babauta (74); Rose Rohringer (76); Dol Yamagishi (78); Mio Kim (79); and Terry Guerrero (85).<\/p>\n<p>CWGA will hold its season-ending two-day CWGA Annual Tournament\u00a0 next month on April 15 and 16 at the Laolao Bay Golf &amp; Resort\u2019s east and west courses.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The club continues to look for new members as the new season continues.
