Guam\u2019s leading authority on Alzheimer\u2019s disease and related\u00a0dementias,\u00a0board-certified neurologist Dr. Ramel Carlos, based at the Neurology Clinic in Tamuning, will be offering two free virtual presentations on\u00a0tips to keep the brain healthy.\u00a0His presentation\u2014\u201cEvidence-Based Practical Lifestyle Tips to Gain\u00a0Neurogenesis and Neuroplasticity in Our Daily Lives\u201d\u2014is part of the ongoing support for\u00a0family caregivers of persons with\u00a0dementia\u00a0hosted by the Guam\/Micronesia Geriatrics Workforce Enhancement Program of the University of Guam School of Health.<\/p>\n
The public is invited to participate on Saturday,\u00a0March 18, from 3pm to 5pm.<\/p>\n
Carlos will be available after his presentations to answer questions from the group participants.<\/p>\n
Ongoing\u00a0dementia\u00a0support groups\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n The training program is\u00a0part of the ongoing online support groups for\u00a0family caregivers of persons with\u00a0dementia\u00a0being conducted by the Guam\/Micronesia Geriatrics Workforce Enhancement Program of the\u00a0UOG School of Health.\u00a0The support group sessions are held on Zoom on Wednesday evenings and Saturday mornings year-round.
