(CONTRIBUTED PHOTO)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Kanoa Football Club is on top of the Flores-P\u00e9\u00e9 Luwal Division of the 2023 Spring Dove Women\u2019s League heading into Week 6 with a four win and one loss record, while MP United FC won against Shirley\u2019s FC 2 in the 2023 Spring Marianas Soccer League 2.<\/p>\n<p>Kanoa\u2019s most recent win was against Matansa FC, 1-0, last Sunday at the NMI Soccer Training Center in Koblerville; MPU FC won, 6-3 against Shirley\u2019s FC 2 last Friday.<\/p>\n<p>Jane Malabanan sprinted to the net just a couple of minutes in for the only goal of the game. Matansa was silent through the whole afternoon as none of their attempts at the goal stuck.<\/p>\n<p>MPU FC\u2019s Gaige Porras made a beeline as soon as he had the ball and bagged the first goal just two minutes in. Two more goals were made by MPU before Shirley\u2019s Angie Ito replied for a 3-1 game.<\/p>\n<p>It was all quiet on the western front until Shirley\u2019s Josephine Cardelle closed the lead by one, 3-2. However, MPU returned the favor for another goal in the 60th minute, then in the 70th minute, then the last goal in the 77th minute.<\/p>\n<p>Shirley\u2019s only replied once more, but it was all for nought as time ran out.<\/p>\n<p><strong>DOVE WOMEN\u2019S LEAGUE<\/p>\n<p>MP United FC slipped past Paire FC, 2-1.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Moriah Sablan whizzed past the goalie five minutes in and it went radio silent after that. Then, teammate Michelle Ann Masga fired at the net for the second goal in the 44th minute.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>When it seemed like Paire wouldn\u2019t put up much of a fight, Phoenix Gross managed to snag a goal in the 58th minute. However, it was too little too late as the shot clock ticked its final tock.<\/p>\n<p>The Southern United FC-Tan Holdings game ended with the former victorious, 1-0.<\/p>\n<p>Keisha Deleon Guerrero scraped the net at the 8th minute and that was all she wrote for the rest of the game.<\/p>\n<p><strong>MSL 2\u00a0<\/strong><br \/>\nOn Sunday, the Women\u2019s Development Team blanked Shirley\u2019s FC 1, 4-0. Goals were made by Allysya Angeles, Pia Ngewakl, Irish Pagarao, and Jannah Casarino.<\/p>\n<p>In other results last Sunday, Tan Holdings defeated Hana FC, 5-1.<\/p>\n<p>Mark Patubo and Ronnel Ocanada scored double goals each while Reginal Pascual provided the fifth goal. Scott Kim scored the only goal for Hana in the 87th minute.<\/p>\n<p>And last Friday, Chang Bai Hu defeated Matansa FC, 1-0, courtesy of Li Xiong Zhe.<\/p>\n<p><strong>MSL 1\u00a0<\/strong><br \/>\nEleven Tiger edged Paire FC, 2-1. Jack Unsa and Ariel Narvaez scored the team\u2019s two goals while Trey Dunn scored the lone goal for Paire.<\/p>\n<p>Then, Kanoa FC and MPU FC ended their game in a draw, 1-1.
