Well, Mel Gibson\u2019s movie came and it went
\nit caused a few to reflect and a few to repent
\nfilled with gratuitous violence and Biblical blunders
\nit was a box office smash\u2014a wonder of wonders<\/p>\n
The biggest movie about Jesus in many many years
\nhad childish demons and Mary weeping glycerine tears
\nGibson used a German mystic\u2019s vision to portray Christ\u2019s passion
\nwith original spoken languages in current art film fashion<\/p>\n
There couldn\u2019t have been more latex ripped flesh and stage blood
\nit was shown over and over as it came out in a flood
\nthis action movie star turned director rubbed our faces in it
\nwhen money is to be made that\u2019s the way movie moguls will spin it<\/p>\n
Again and again they hit Christ and did not stop
\nand kept spitting in his face to prevent a film flop
\nso now this blockbuster film replete with religiosity
\nis destined to become a \u2018snuff film\u2019 curiosity<\/p>\n
Passion was toppled at the box office by Dawn of the Dead
\nan old zombie movie remake\u2014need any more be said
\nnext on top was a comic book film called Hellboy
\nwith more violent action to bring a sick kind of joy<\/p>\n
Multiplexes worldwide overflowed with millions in cash
\nAs people paid to watch more and more violent trash
\nthose now weary of this egregious greedy gravity
