(CONTRIBUTED PHOTO)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/Womens-Month-pix2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-389056\" src=\"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/Womens-Month-pix2-1024x531.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"960\" height=\"498\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Capping the celebration of March as International Women\u2019s Month, the U.S. District Court for the NMI hosted last Friday its first Women\u2019s Month Meet and Mingle to inspire more women to pursue careers in law.<\/p>\n<p>With the theme of the event being \u201clearning from the ladies in the law,\u201d the U.S. District Court for the Northern Mariana Islands and the CNMI Bar Association hosted the inaugural community engagement event at the Gualo Rai courthouse, with female judges and lawyers taking the spotlight.<\/p>\n<p>According to the organizers, the event\u2019s goal was to enhance and promote diversity in the legal profession by highlighting the stories of women with diverse backgrounds, including practicing attorneys, working professionals, and judges who work or interact with the federal judiciary.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOf female jurists and legal professionals, we aim to inspire and encourage more women to pursue careers in law and help enhance diversity in the legal field,\u201d said Chief Judge Ramona V. Manglona.<\/p>\n<p>The event\u2019s attendees included students from the Northern Marianas College and the Public School System. Also in attendance was CNMI Bar Association president Charity R.
