(LEIGH GASES)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The Falcons have bagged their second win of the Tan Holdings-Saipan Baseball League 2023 season after they soared past the Bandits, 9-8, at the Francisco \u201cTan Ko\u201d Palacios Baseball Field last Wednesday night.<\/p>\n<p>Both teams were tied at seven runs in the last inning which forced an extra inning. Into the eighth, the Bandits\u2019 Harry Nakamura knocked in their eight run with a base-hit which brought in Juan Iguel.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>When it was the Falcons\u2019 turn, two runs scored from an error by the Bandits and a sacrifice fly to end the game by one, 9-8.<br \/>\nThe Falcons had an early lead as they scored three runs in the first after a lead-off walk, then another walk, followed by a two-RBI triple by Jordan Suel. He was in turn brought in by a base hit from Henry Augon.<\/p>\n<p>The Bandits\u2019 John Wilson came home after he stole second and was brought in by a single from Ben Taisacan. However, the Bandits were silenced in the next three innings by Falcons pitcher Zeze Lifoifoi.<\/p>\n<p>The second inning was another three-run inning for the Falcons as Peter Lieto came home and Ian Norita hit a double. He was then brought home by Giovanni Mira\u2019s single.<\/p>\n<p>The Falcons went scoreless in the third and fourth inning and got a piece of the ball with a base hit from Henry Aguon, who advanced to second with a stolen base.<\/p>\n<p>It was a slow burn for the Bandits as they had a three-run fourth inning after Juan Iguel was hit by a pitch, followed by two consecutive walks by Wilson and Nakamura, who were then brought in by Jesus Iguel.<\/p>\n<p>The seventh inning stretch was another three-run inning for the Bandits as back-to-back base hits by Taisacan and Jesus Iguel allowed Emu Wally to bring them home.<\/p>\n<p>In the standings, the Falcons and Cardinals are on top with two wins apiece. The Bandits are at 1-1. While with one win each are the Bears and the Natives.
