The 17U girls of Southern United Football Club blew Shirley\u2019s FC out of the pitch, 19-2, in the TakeCare NMIFA Youth Spring League 2023 last Saturday at the NMI Soccer Training Center in Koblerville.<\/p>\n

SUFC\u2019s Rizza Relucio drew first blood in the ninth minute and a cascade of goals followed right after. Summer Manahane, Pia Newakl, and Tamia Kileleman-Hix scored their first goals of the game.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Four more goals were scored in the first half as Shirley\u2019s still had nothing on the scoreboard for an 8-0 SUFC lead heading into the second half.<\/p>\n

Shirley\u2019s was still scrambling in the pitch to get a goal and wouldn\u2019t snag one until after seven more were scored by SUFC. Alyssa Borlongan broke through for Shirley\u2019s in the 50th minute.<\/p>\n

However, before Erish Carreon could score their second and last goal in the 59th minute, Newakl had already scored nine, Kileleman-Hix scored four, Rosie Saralua shot two, for a huge 18 goal deficit by the 58th minute.<\/p>\n

Kanoa 8, Paire 0<\/strong>
\nKanoa FC blanked Paire 8-0 in the other U17 girls game of the afternoon.\u00a0<\/p>\n

It was smooth sailing with each pass as Kanoa\u2019s Alejandra Manabat swiftly found the net in the ninth minute.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Elikristiana Iglesias then scored two minutes after, followed by Deseha Mendiola\u2019s goal in the 19th.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Aubrey Castro found an opening and shot one in for a 4-0 game. Then, Ye Lynn Ha, Beatrice Gross, Manabat, and Audrey Castro made it an 8-0 game by the 30th minute.<\/p>\n

17U BOYS
\nMP United FC 3, Matansa 0<\/strong>
\nIn the 17U boys game, MP United Football Club silenced Matansa, 3-0.<\/p>\n

Casey Chambers scored two goals in the eighth and 31th minute, with the third goal made by Ian Song in the 35th minute.<\/p>\n

Kanoa 2, Tan Holdings 1<\/strong>
\nThe last 17U game of the day was a comeback by Kanoa, 2-1.<\/p>\n

Though Tan Holdings\u2019 Christian Lucero drew first blood in the 46th minute, Kanoa\u2019s Markus Toves and Paul Lizama changed the game to their favor, 2-1 in the 65th minute and held on to the lead for the W.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
