(CONTRIBUTED PHOTO)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>MP United Football Club doubled Tan Holdings Football Club\u2019s score for a 6-3 game in Week 10 of the TakeCare NMIFA Youth Spring League 2023 last Saturday at the NMI Soccer Training Center in Koblerville.<\/p>\n<p>Ian Song from MPU drew first blood after a quiet 17 minutes in the first half. Anthony Bergancia of Tan Holdings replied with a shot of his own in the 23rd minute.<\/p>\n<p>It was an even match throughout as both sides could not find the net until Tan Holdings\u2019 Emerson Brillo broke through in the 32nd minute.<\/p>\n<p>From then on, it was a free for all for MPU as Song scored his second goal, followed by two goals from Cody Shimizu for a 5-2 game. Their sixth goal was made before Tan Holdings could score their third goal in the 80th minute.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Kanoa FC 7, Matansa 1<\/strong><br \/>\nKanoa Football Club out goaled Matansa, 7-1.<br \/>\nA first half shot in the 12th minute was the only goal by Matansa from Jayson Bisek.<\/p>\n<p>Kanoa\u2019s Paul Lizama scored a hat-trick plus one more in the 8th, 22nd, 57th, and 71st minute.<\/p>\n<p>Teammates Tyler Omelau, Sean Gil, and Yeonsoo Kim contributed the team\u2019s three other goals.<\/p>\n<p>Top seed Kanoa is facing off with No. 3 MPU in the semifinals on May 6; after, No. 2 seed Tan Holdings is going against number 4 seed Matansa. The finals are scheduled for May 13 at 8pm.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>17U GIRLS 8X8<br \/>\nSUFC 21, Paire FC 2<\/strong><br \/>\nThe Southern United Football Club 17U girls have put up big numbers in their last couple of games\u2014this time, blowing out Paire FC, 21-2.<\/p>\n<p>Pia Newakl bagged a game high with goals; Summer Manahane racked up six goals; Rosie Saralu had four; Rizza Relucio kicked in two; and Brianne Echalico scored one.<\/p>\n<p>The two goals from Paire were made by Martha Culp in the 12th minute and Tsubakiko Joab in the 50th.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Kanoa FC 7, MPU FC 1<\/strong><br \/>\nKanoa won a lopsided 7-1 game against MPU FC.<\/p>\n<p>The only goal from MPU came in the second half by Irin Chung after Kanoa scored all their goals already.<\/p>\n<p>Kanoa\u2019s goals were made by Elikristiana Iglesias, two by Deseha Mendiola, two by Beatrice Gross, and another two by Ye Lynn Ha.<\/p>\n<p>In the championship tourney, Shirley\u2019s and Paire will face off on April 29; SUFC will take on MPU FC right after; on May 6, winner of the Shirley\u2019s-Paire game will then challenge Kanoa.
