{"id":390674,"date":"2023-05-02T06:05:41","date_gmt":"2023-05-01T20:05:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/?p=390674"},"modified":"2023-05-02T06:05:41","modified_gmt":"2023-05-01T20:05:41","slug":"car-crash-kills-one-hurts-another","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/car-crash-kills-one-hurts-another\/","title":{"rendered":"Car crash kills one, hurts another"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Department of Public Safety continues to investigate the fatal car crash in Kannat Tabla over the weekend that claimed the life of a 44-year-old man. <\/p>\n<p>According to DPS spokesperson Fred Sato, the crash remains under investigation and DPS will release additional information as the investigation progresses. <\/p>\n<p>The fatal car crash along Chalan Monsignor Guerrero road in Kannat Tabla occurred last Saturday, April 29. DPS has chosen not to identify the victim as of press time. <\/p>\n<p>DPS, in a press release last Sunday evening, stated that DPS received a call reporting a vehicle crash by the Coffee Stop along Chalan Monsignor Guerrero Rd in Kannat Tabla around 2:38am last Saturday. The responding officer came upon a red Nissan pickup truck that had slammed into a wooden power pole along the road and was facing southeast. Upon further observation, the officer noted that the driver and passenger of the car were still in the vehicle. <\/p>\n<p>Police stated that the driver was unresponsive and the passenger was unconscious but still breathing.<\/p>\n<p>Medics arrived at the scene shortly after and immediately transported the passenger to the Commonwealth Healthcare Center. <\/p>\n<p>It was determined at the scene that the 44-year-old male driver had no pulse and was not breathing.
