(MARK RABAGO)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>More than a coffee place, Java Joe\u2019s in Dandan has again expanded their already eclectic menu with a slew of new food offerings.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Owner Manju Pandey said Java Joe\u2019s recently added pizza,\u00a0 butter chicken, curry, loco moco, and lamb burgers to their menu.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe introduced these new items to give different options for our customers to choose from. We would like to add more very soon. There are days that business has been slow but adding new items like these help us give our customers a reason to go to Java Joe\u2019s,\u201d she said.<br \/>\n<figure id=\"attachment_390817\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-390817\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/Java-Joes-pix-2wb.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/Java-Joes-pix-2wb.jpg\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-390817\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Java Joe\u2019s staff greets customers with big smiles as they order.  (MARK RABAGO)<br \/><\/figcaption><\/figure><\/p>\n<p>So far so good, as their regulars have seemed to have taken a liking to their butter chicken, loco moco, and the curry dishes the most.<\/p>\n<p>The butter chicken is simply marinated baked chicken that\u2019s been cooked in a creamy tomato-onion gravy. It\u2019s usually served with jasmine rice or naan bread (butter or plain).<\/p>\n<p>The loco moco is made from either beef or lamb patty and is strategically placed on top of steaming white rice. It comes with sunny side up egg and smothered with rich brown mushroom sauce.<\/p>\n<p>And honoring Pandey\u2019s native Nepal, Java Joe\u2019s curry dishes come in chicken, beef, lamb, fish, or shrimp varieties all cooked in tomato, onion, and other spices. Like the butter chicken, the curry is served with jasmine rice or butter or plain naan bread.<br \/>\n<figure id=\"attachment_390818\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-390818\" style=\"width: 235px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/Java-Joes-pix-3wb.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/Java-Joes-pix-3wb-235x300.jpg\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-390818\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Java Joe\u2019s loco moco.(CONTRIBUTED PHOTO)<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/p>\n<p>\u201cAll have received very good compliments from our customers and we gained new regular customers after learning that we offer these items,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>Knowing too well that everyone\u2019s tolerance for spicy dishes vary, all of Java Joe\u2019s dishes can be served spicy, not spicy, or mild.<\/p>\n<p>So far, Pandey said Java Joe\u2019s has bitten the bullet and hasn\u2019t changed their menu prices even as the cost of ingredients, fuel,  and utilities have risen.<br \/>\n<figure id=\"attachment_390819\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-390819\" style=\"width: 266px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/Java-Joes-pix-4wb.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/Java-Joes-pix-4wb-266x300.jpg\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-390819\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Java Joe\u2019s shrimp curry with naan bread. We would like our customers to go here regularly even if the economy is difficult. We don\u2019t want to raise our prices for now. When business gets better, hopefully we can adjust as well,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>Java Joe\u2019s is located beside EverClean Laundry and across the Commonwealth Utilities Corp.\/Joeten Dandan along Chalan Monsignor Guerrero in Dandan. They are open everyday from 7am to 9pm.
