{"id":391346,"date":"2023-05-11T06:06:50","date_gmt":"2023-05-10T20:06:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/?p=391346"},"modified":"2023-05-11T06:06:50","modified_gmt":"2023-05-10T20:06:50","slug":"grmc-to-announce-its-honoree-of-the-daisy-award","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/grmc-to-announce-its-honoree-of-the-daisy-award\/","title":{"rendered":"GRMC to announce its honoree of The DAISY Award"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>DEDEDO, Guam\u2014Guam Regional Medical City will announce the nurse recipient of The DAISY Award on Friday, May 12, 2023, 7:30am at the Dusit Thani Guam. <\/p>\n<p>This marks the third year of GRMC\u2019s participation in The DAISY Award to recognize a nurse who has made a uniquely significant impact on the lives of patients and their families. <\/p>\n<p>The DAISY Award\u2014which stands for Disease Attacking the Immune SYstem\u2014was created by the family of the late Patrick Barnes, who at the age of 33, was diagnosed with Idiopathic Thrombocytopenic Purpura, an auto-immune disease characterized by low levels of the blood cells that prevent bleeding.
