(CONTRIBUTED PHOTO)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Kelvin \u201cThe Big Hit\u201d Fitial couldn\u2019t hide his disappointment with the cancellation of MCFC 2 where he was supposed to take on\u00a0 Travis \u201cDiesel\u201d Wiuff\u00a0 this Saturday, May 13, at the Mayo Civic Center in Rochester, Minnesota.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe fight has been called off&#8230; I\u2019m frustrated but what can I do? It\u2019s out of my control\u2026 A lot of stuff didn\u2019t pull through,\u201d he told <em>Saipan Tribune.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The 39-year-old, 250-pounder even vowed to knock out Wiuff in the main event of MCFC 2.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m so bummed because I trained hard for this fight. I was ready,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>Fitial is coming into the scrapped pay-per-view fight with a record of 15 wins, 13 losses, and two draws. The 6\u20193\u201d brawler, fighting out of Four Seasons Martial Arts &amp; Fitness, won his last fight when he beat Ben Schneider via TKO in the first round of Brawl International 2.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c[I\u2019m] still training here (Rochester), but I will be home on Sunday. I\u2019ll just wait patiently for the next opportunity,\u201d said Fitial on his plans after MCFC 2 was canceled.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Coming into his fight with Fitial, the 45-year-old, 265-lb Wiuff carried a 78-22 win-loss record with one ending in a no-contest. The 6\u20192\u201d\u00a0 fighter out of Elite Performance MMA won his last three fights.<\/p>\n<p>Prior to the event\u2019s cancellation Med City Fighting Championships co-owner Matthew Vogt spoke with <em>Saipan Tribune<\/em> and said that MCFC 2 could serve as a launching pad for more Pacific Islands mixed martial arts fighters to compete under his promotion.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI haven\u2019t been to the islands yet, but I will eventually but we want to have global appeal\u2026 We want to also be a gateway for some other international fighters to fight in the United States. To get some international credibility and give opportunities for fighters to be seen. <\/p>\n<p>It ultimately depends on how big we get.
