The Bantalan Sugar Dock Inc. has adopted the Sugar Dock Beach in Chalan Kanoa to maintain.<\/p>\n

The Saipan Mayor\u2019s Office held an \u201cAdopt-a-Place\u201d ceremony last Friday morning at the wooden pavilion near the Sugar Dock, which was attended by Saipan Mayor Ramon \u201cRB\u201d Camacho, BSDI president Rose Camacho, BDSI members, and man\u2019amko<\/em> officials of the day, as part of the celebration of May as Mes Man\u2019amko or Older Americans Month.<\/p>\n

Former lawmaker Martin Ada, who is an adviser of the BSDI, thanked the Saipan Mayor\u2019s Office for accepting their bid to adopt the place.\u00a0in a later interview, he said the BSDI is still in its early stages, but \u201cby adopting this area, it officialized our intentions to really do something for the community.\u201d<\/p>\n

He clarified that the Bantalan area has been adopted by two other organizations\u2014the Saipan Lions Club and another Filipino club\u2014\u201dSo now, we can share and collaborate with each other and beautify and improve our areas of responsibility.\u201d<\/p>\n
