Camacho Elementary School and Garapan Elementary School.<\/p>\n<p>A total of 143 GTC students from first to third grade, 217 GES students, along with teachers and teacher aides, 130 8U and 10U club players, 30 club coaches, and 20 National Team players joined the celebration.<\/p>\n<p>Six football clubs\u2014Kanoa FC, Tan Holdings FC, Shirley\u2019s FC, Southern United FC, and Matansa FC\u2014participated in the event.<br \/>\n<figure id=\"attachment_392403\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-392403\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/NMIFA-pix-2wb-3.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/NMIFA-pix-2wb-3.jpg\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-392403\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Students from Garapan Elementary School learn soccer drills during the 10th AFC Grassroots Soccer Day.(CONTRIBUTED PHOTO)<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/p>\n<p>The activities involved four stations\u2014three drills and one small-sided game for PSS students and six stations\u2014and three drills as well as three types of small-sided games for clubs and players rotating after 8-10 minutes.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0Jershwin Angeles, NMIFA coach, said of the event that it was \u201cto celebrate the AFC Grassroots Football Day together with the NMI football family. [It was] a week-long celebration of the event by conducting different grassroots activities to increase the popularity of soccer on the island.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201c[It was also the] first time to include public schools (GES and GTC) since both are the only schools that participated in this year\u2019s PE Support Program,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Asian Football Confederation\u2019s Grassroots Football Day marked its 10th celebration last May 15.
