(MATSON)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The Port Authority of Guam and the U.S. Coast Guard have declared Apra Harbor and the Port of Guam safe and open to all commercial vessel traffic and cargo operations.<\/p>\n<p>Matson\u2019s vessel,\u00a0Maunawili\u00a0234W, originally scheduled to arrive Tuesday, May 23, has now docked and cargo operations have commenced.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c We have requested open gate hours during the Memorial Day holiday to allow deliveries to commence as soon as possible,\u201d the company said in a statement yesterday.<\/p>\n<p>It said that refrigerated containers have been fully powered throughout the voyage and, those not picked up immediately by customers will continue to be powered with available resources in the terminal.<\/p>\n<p>The company also confirmed that Matson shipments remain on schedule for the coming weeks.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur next two scheduled Guam voyages remain on time, with\u00a0Manoa\u00a0483W showing an [expected time of arrival] of Tuesday, May 30, and\u00a0Manukai\u00a0237W showing an ETA the following Tuesday, June 6,\u201d Matson added.<\/p>\n<p>As a result of the recent deployment of Matson\u2019s two newest vessels,\u00a0Matsonia\u00a0and\u00a0Lurline, into its CLX service, each of these ships will call Guam every five weeks, adding regularly scheduled roll-on\/roll-off capabilities for\u00a0Matson\u00a0customers.<\/p>\n<p>Before Sunday, the Port of Guam was closed as teams inspected and evaluated waterways, facilities and equipment.
