Palacios said, “Our hearts are with the islands of Guam and Rota. We’re all too familiar with the type of destruction typhoons of this magnitude bring to our region. It’s safe to say that there are many here still traumatized by the hardships and struggles in dealing with the aftermath of something so catastrophic. It truly humbles a person. The only blessing amidst the chaos is seeing our islands work together day after day as a community, as one. It serves as a reminder of our strength and our resilience,” she said.

John Hirsh, executive director of the American Red Cross-NMI Chapter, said the Red Cross is grateful for the generosity of the Joeten Daidai Foundation.

“Your financial gift empowers us to meet the critical needs of those impacted by Typhoon Mawar. The Joeten family has again demonstrated their deep community focus by helping families recover on Rota as well as assisting with our emergency humanitarian efforts [in] Guam,” said Hirsch after accepting the check for the American Red Cross.

The Joeten Daidai Foundation was established in 1994 from a vision of the late Jose “Joeten” C. Tenorio and his wife, Soledad “Daidai” Tenorio, as a means of giving back to the community. The foundation has been supported by the unwavering efforts and generosity from Joeten subsidiaries and affiliates J.C.Tenorio Enterprises, Joeten Development Inc., Joeten Ace Hardware, Joeten Motors Co., Marianas Management Corp., Saipan Shipping Co., Saipan Stevedore Co., Pacifica Insurance Underwriters, etc. and its many longstanding business partners throughout the decades. (PR)

[4
6596,257
post-393535","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-local-news","tag-jdf","tag-nmi
["GET
