Monroyo)<\/figcaption><\/figure><br \/>\nMP United FC and Kanoa FC blanked separate foes in the penultimate week of the 2014 NMIFA Women\u2019s League.<\/p>\n<p>Kanoa FC played in the final game last Saturday at the Oleai Sports Complex Field and cruised past Matansa FC, 4-0, while MP United suited up against Paire FC and also earned an easy win, 3-0.<\/p>\n<p>All of MP United FC\u2019s goals came in the second half with Michelle Masga breaking the team\u2019s silence early in that frame. Kayla Ito then gave MP United its second goal midway in the final half, while Manami Tadokoro also made it to the scoreboard late in that period.<\/p>\n<p>In the Kanoa FC-Matansa tiff, Marielle Gariguez led the former\u2019s rout of the latter after scoring twin goals. Gariguez found the back of the net early, getting her first goal in the third minute. She also kicked off Kanoa FC\u2019s offense in the second half after hitting her target in the 55th minute.<\/p>\n<p>Jeralyn Castillo also contributed to Kanoa FC\u2019s cause with her goal in the 66th minute and the winning team got its fourth goal quickly off Friendly Joy Pena\u2019s conversion three minutes later.<\/p>\n<p>In other results last Saturday, Independents FC and Tan Holdings FC settled for a 1-1 draw.<\/p>\n<p>Renita Fleming put Tan Holdings in the board with her goal in the first half, but Independents FC equalized in the second half, thanks to Farleen Esmundo\u2019s shot.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, the women\u2019s league will conclude the spring season this Saturday, holding three games each in the morning and afternoon sessions. At 8pm, Matansa will collide against MP United, while Paire and Tan Holdings will meet at 10am, and Independents FC will take on Shirley\u2019s FC at 12pm. In the 4pm match, it will be Paire versus Kanoa FC, while Independents FC will face MP United at 6pm.  Shirley\u2019s FC and Tan Holdings FC will close out the season when they duel at 8pm.<\/p>\n<p>Standings in the women\u2019s league are still being finalizes, along with the M-League, which concluded its season last Sunday.
