{"id":394192,"date":"2023-06-20T06:06:59","date_gmt":"2023-06-19T20:06:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/?p=394192"},"modified":"2023-06-20T06:06:59","modified_gmt":"2023-06-19T20:06:59","slug":"drone-pilot-operator-training-for-first-responders","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/drone-pilot-operator-training-for-first-responders\/","title":{"rendered":"Drone pilot operator training for first responders"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/Drone-pix-W.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-394208\" src=\"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/Drone-pix-W-1024x531.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"960\" height=\"498\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Drones are set to take flight in the CNMI soon and may aid first responders after a drone pilot operator training with first responders today, June 20, until June 26, from 8am to 4pm at the Northern Marianas Technical Institute Campus in Lower Base.<\/p>\n<p>The six-day course will encompass different aspects of drone flight practical training, with Day 1 talking about rules and regulations and night operations training.<\/p>\n<p>Day 2 is a lecture about the National Airspace System; Day 3 consists of reading sectional charts; Day 4 is about airport operations and weather and micrometeorology; Day 5 is on drone flight operations; and Day 6 are practice tests and booking for the drone flying exam.<\/p>\n<p>The training will be done by Bella Wings Aviation, or BWA, based in Guam. Its co-founder and president is Charlie Hermosa.<\/p>\n<p>BWA is an unmanned aerial vehicle company focused on providing virtual inspection in construction engineering, package delivery, light show, video production, search and rescue, manufacturing and training.<\/p>\n<p>BWA has taken an educational perspective to introduce and train new Part 107 pilots.
