Sablan (D-MP) said in his e-kilili newsletter over the weekend that FEMA announced Monday the award of $1,327,307 for statement managements costs that include any indirect cost, direct administrative cost, or other administrative expense associated with Yutu recovery.<\/p>\n<p>Sablan said the Disaster Recovery Reform Act caps funding for these costs at no more than 10% by a primary grant recipient, in this case the CNMI, and 5% by any subgrantees.<\/p>\n<p>As of Monday, July 31, FEMA\u2019s award to CNMI\u2019s State Management Costs now reaches $2,850,072.<\/p>\n<p>Other FEMA grants for typhoon recovery include $80.4 million awarded to the Commonwealth Utilities Corp.; $75.9 million awarded to Homeland Security\/Emergency Management; $56.7 million to the Public School System; $35.2 million to Northern Marianas College; $16.7 million o the Governor\u2019s Office; $13.1 million to the Tinian Municipality; $10.2 million to the Commonwealth Ports Authority\u2019 $5.7 million to other grant awards lesser than $1 million; $5.0 million to the Saipan Municipality\/Department of Public Safety; $4.5 million for hazard mitigation assistance\u2019 $2.2 million to the CNMI Judiciary; and $1.3 million to Mount Carmel School.<\/p>\n<p>This brings to a total of $305,485,248 in total FEMA grants for typhoon recovery as of last Monday, according to Sablan.<\/p>\n<p> <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/images\/imgupload\/3dc80f09de0c8cc8a21f22c828e1a79e.jpg\" width=\"480\" height=\"360\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Gregorio Kilili C.
