If the main drink served in hell is hot pepper, pickle juice and vinegar served boiling hot every eternally hot day from morning to midnight, I wondered if angels eat watermelon and shave ice all day in heaven?<\/p>\n<p><h4>What Angels Eat is Red, Juicy, and Sweet<\/h4>\n<\/p>\n<p>Well there is soft delicious Angel Food sponge cake<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019ve often wondered if any heavenly creatures eat it<\/p>\n<p>this confectionary delicacy is somewhat tricky to bake<\/p>\n<p>I also wonder whether heaven\u2019s angels actually need it<\/p>\n<p>There is chocolate Devil\u2019s Food cake a delightful treat<\/p>\n<p>a deep dark cocoa dessert pastry with a delicious smell<\/p>\n<p>with chocolate frosting chocolate ice cream a must repeat<\/p>\n<p>tempting fallen angels into a semi-sweet dark caloric hell<\/p>\n<p>Finally, a heavenly fruit perfect for every earthly dwelling<\/p>\n<p>and all the devilish boys and angelic girls spit out its seeds<\/p>\n<p>watermelon fields, farmer\u2019s markets, grocery stores selling<\/p>\n<p>a medium size watermelon will fill a small family\u2019s needs<\/p>\n<p>Watermelon is \u201csandia\u201d in Spanish, \u201cchandia\u201d in Chamorro<\/p>\n<p>angels and devils want it yesterday, today, and tomorrow.<\/p>\n<p><h4>\u00a0<\/h4>\n<h4>Koans : A Cool Hand Hones\u2014Snowcones!<\/h4>\n<\/p>\n<p>I would build that cone in air<\/p>\n<p>that slushy cone those mounds of ice<\/p>\n<p>and all who slurped would taste it there<\/p>\n<p>and all would shout, Snowcone! Shave ice!<\/p>\n<p>its melting juicy colors rare<\/p>\n<p>piled in shaved mounds so nice<\/p>\n<p>so close your eyes and taste with joy<\/p>\n<p>summer delights for girl and boy<\/p>\n<p>dessert in Polar Paradise.<\/p>\n<p><em>(some koan poems first published Sept. 1, 2017)<\/em><\/p>\n<p><h4>\u00a0<\/h4>\n<h4>The Hot Pepper Sauce is the Boss<\/h4>\n<\/p>\n<p><em>(after W.C.
