Manglona to talk about what he called a “controlled environment” that will guarantee the safety and security of the resort’s guests in case or fire and other emergencies.

“We have to be comfortable with what the local government can provide for us and how we can work with them and make their jobs easier. For example, can we get up to the 10th floor and extract that person? Right now we can’t do that. How do we get those resources to ensure that we can service your needs? It boils down to money,” Manglona said.

Manglona noted the lack of proper equipment as the biggest issue and that the vehicles they have are over 10 years old.

According to the DPS representative, having an interrelated relationship between private and public sectors in terms of specific things is a “win-win” situation for both parties.

Tay told DPS representatives, including Manglona, that one way to go about this is to upgrade along the way.

“Whether through whatever institute you can subsidize their education, it’s scholarship, and afterwards they can get promoted. We need people to rise up the ranks, the career progression,” Tay said.

The DPS representative told Tay that his company can also perhaps offer online education.

“It would be more accessible cause we really just don’t have the time. We need that dollar to back it up. It is all family here, especially since it’s a small country. If we were to fit in the community chest then that’s a lot of money to begin with,” the DPS representative said.

Best Sunshine is a wholly owned subsidiary of Hong Kong Stock Exchange-listed Imperial Pacific International Holdings also known as Imperial Pacific.

Imperial Pacific’s proposal for the CNMI is for a resort destination that offers a “kaleidoscope of attractions and amenities.” These include, among others, high-end hotel rooms and villas, a luxurious spa, world-class themed entertainment, international brand retail, health and aesthetics facilities, a place for meetings, incentives, conventions, exhibitions, and a casino.

An executive of Best Sunshine International Ltd. met with the Department of Public Safety’s Fire…

[4
988,256,35,37
post-39849","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-local-news","tag-best-sunshine","tag-casino","tag-dps","tag-education-2
["GET
