The people of Israel are enduring sudden brutal attacks, loss of life, and destruction. We must stand together in fully condemning this lawless violence, and insisting internationally that Hamas stops this attack without delay. The people of Israel should not have to face the threat of rockets, explosions and indiscriminate killing. The State of Israel is a dependable friend to the United States, and an allied democracy in an important region of the world. I\u2019ve met with Prime Minister Netanyahu, and been briefed on Israel\u2019s security, and there is great respect for the capabilities of the Israel Defense Forces.
