{"id":399844,"date":"2023-10-13T14:00:00","date_gmt":"2023-10-13T14:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/?p=399844"},"modified":"-0001-11-30T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"-0001-11-29T14:00:00","slug":"Micronesia-Mall-Glow-Run-draws-over-1-200","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/Micronesia-Mall-Glow-Run-draws-over-1-200\/","title":{"rendered":"Micronesia Mall \u2018Glow Run\u2019 draws over 1,200"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Micronesia Mall celebrated its 35th year of serving the community of Guam by holding an \u201980s-themed 3.5-mile \u201cGlow Run\u201d last Sept. 17 that drew more than 1,200 community members.<\/p>\n<p>The participants included 972 registered runners, their families, visitors, and fun seekers alike. Micronesia Mall\u2019s 3.5-mile \u201cGlow Run\u201d was a neon dusk run and featured exciting raffle with over 200 prizes, including three roundtrip tickets on Philippine Airlines, Family fun activities including face painting by Muse Guam, an \u201980s costume contest and selfie booth, some of Guam\u2019s most popular food trucks, and live music performance by DJ Ron G Swift and Prominence. Participants also received a ditty bag and event shirt.<\/p>\n<p>Organizers said the event was \u201ca success and great fun for everyone!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Micronesia Mall will be donating the proceeds from the \u201cGlow Run\u201d to three local beneficiaries\u2014Alee Shelter, Island Girl Power, and the Guam Coalition Against Sexual Assault and Family Violence.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe island has many cases of domestic violence. We support organizations which help young girls and women who have been victims of domestic and sexual violence.
