This is Yin Yang poetry of universal proportions\/and children\u2019s horrific death<\/p>\n
from war\u2019s evil distortions\/Our universe continues to \u2018evolve\u2019\/while in Gaza a million children\u2019s young lives \u2018devolve\u2019.\u201d<\/p>\n
The Gaza Strip, about the size of the city of Philadelphia, has around 2.1 million people. Over half the population is under 18 years of age. There are over 300 miles of tunnels dug beneath hospitals, schools, and apartment buildings. Many tunnels are booby trapped. The Yin Yang symbol represents opposites within one circle: night and day, hot and cold, male and female, negative and positive. expansion and contraction. Each side contrasts and complements the other.<\/em><\/p>\n Sturm und drang is German for confusion, or storm and stress.<\/em><\/p>\n It began in great solitude and silence<\/p>\n A moment of light , an invisible spark<\/p>\n An explosion of unbelievable violence<\/p>\n A universe not yet a universe\u2014darkness<\/p>\n Light. Primordial photons soon coalesce<\/p>\n Atoms grow, nucleus, proton and neutron.<\/p>\n Growth in numbers cosmologists guess<\/p>\n Inflation theory seems to think on and on<\/p>\n Billions of galaxies form light years apart<\/p>\n Chaos theory? Did laws of physics plan it?<\/p>\n Many different sizes and types of stars start<\/p>\n Many moons form around billions of planets<\/p>\n Einstein\u2019s theory frames modern inquiry<\/p>\n String particles tie it to Quantum Theory<\/p>\n We have not very long to live\u2014I think<\/p>\n Death not far away for millions of children<\/p>\n Loving living little ones are lost today<\/p>\n The fabric of our souls is soon worn away<\/p>\n Incomprehensible violence is now seen<\/p>\n Massacres murders decapitation of infants<\/p>\n We tried couldn\u2019t reach you or loved ones<\/p>\n We cried out loud sobbing and screaming<\/p>\n Hearts broken sad songs and words spoken<\/p>\n Your lives on fire flaming before our eyes<\/p>\n We have not very long to live\u2014I think<\/p>\n Before bombs fall and drones discover us<\/p>\n We need electric power and water to drink<\/p>\n We have not very long to live\u2014I think.<\/p>\n On the Gaza Strip the number of deaths mount<\/p>\n Women and children used as human shields<\/p>\n Everyday there grows a higher death count<\/p>\n Inside buildings then up to heaven\u2019s fields<\/p>\n Told to head southward with no way out<\/p>\n No water no electricity no food no doubt<\/p>\n Rockets overhead, in tunnels underground<\/p>\n Innocent citizens tremble at the sound<\/p>\n Over a music festival a horrible pall<\/p>\n Tanks line up on the northern border<\/p>\n Thousands of troops await the next order<\/p>\n Deaths of countless innocents hang over all<\/p>\n Total number of hostages is still unknown<\/p>\n Death totals on both sides have grown.<\/p>\n Coda, from Pablo Neruda\u2019s<\/em> The Creation<\/p>\n \u201c\u2026 in the great solitude a howl began,<\/p>\n something rolled crying, the shadows<\/p>\n half-opened, rising alone as if the planets<\/p>\n sobbed and then the echoes rolled, tumbling<\/p>\n and tumbling until what was born was silent\u201d.<\/p>\n \u201c My soul is distressed\/My mind is at war.\u201d<\/p>\n \u2014Bob Dylan, now in his 80s, still performing.<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Exposition=MC 2.
