{"id":401220,"date":"2023-11-15T14:00:00","date_gmt":"2023-11-15T14:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/?p=401220"},"modified":"-0001-11-30T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"-0001-11-29T14:00:00","slug":"2023-Eagles-hoops-tourney-MVPs-announced","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/2023-Eagles-hoops-tourney-MVPs-announced\/","title":{"rendered":"2023 Eagles hoops tourney MVPs announced"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The most valuable players of the Inaugural SMEC-SMLEG Invitational Basketball Tournament 2023 were announced during the championship awards ceremony held last Saturday night at the Gualo Rai Basketball Court.<\/p>\n<p>The finals MVP for the open division was Checkpoint\u2019s Keith Santos for his exceptional plays and consistency, while A Plus Team\u2019s Chris Sanchez was the masters division MVP for his pinpoint accuracy and break-neck footwork.<\/p>\n<p>In the regular season, masters division\u2019s Andrew \u201cUncle Drew\u201d Ashburn of A Plus Team was the MVP for his great performance throughout the season. In the open division, Eats Easy-The Game\u2019s J.R. Galang was the MVP for his skills and level of play.<\/p>\n<p>For the open division awardees, the \u201cMythical 5\u201d included Easy Riders\u2019 Cris Diwa and Keith Santos as the best guards; Galang and Checkpoint\u2019s Coby Santos won the best forward titles; and the best center was Melvin Manibusan.<\/p>\n<p>The best coach award went to Erwin Lumanlan of Checkpoint.<\/p>\n<p>The Sportsmanship award was bestowed on the Homesmart team and IT&amp;E.<\/p>\n<p>Fourth place was CK Saints; third place was Eats Easy-The Game; runner-up was Easy Riders; and the open champion was Checkpoint.<\/p>\n<p>For the masters division, their Mythical 5 was made up of J.R.
