<\/p>\nHafa Adai Rent-A-Car has a new general manager after the promotion of Mary Grace Bautista last Sept. 29. She succeeds Simon Odoca who has returned to Guam.<\/p>\n
Bautista used to serve as the company\u2019s Operations\/Marketing (Pacific Region) manager.<\/p>\n
Hafa Adai Rent-A-Car president Soledad T. Quan congratulated her on the promotion, stating that Bautista has years of experience working in the rental car industry, especially managing the entire operations of multiple rental car locations.<\/p>\n
\u201cShe is a savvy veteran who understands the needs, wants of the different target demographics, and knows what it takes to thrive in this saturated rental car market. While relatively new to the Hafa Adai Rent-A-Car family, it was an easy decision that Grace would be able to fill the position of general manager. We are grateful for her willingness to accept the position and know that HARAC will continue to grow in her hands,\u201d<\/p>\n
A native of Makati City, Philippines, Baustista admitted that, at first, she was unsure what to think about the promotion to be the head of the Joeten Group of Companies\u2019 rental car subsidiary.<\/p>\n
\u201cI felt a little apprehensive and at the same time, a bit overwhelmed because of the staffing shortage we are faced with. However, I was happy and up for the challenge. With my years of experience in the car rental industry and the knowledge and experience I bring, I know, and I believe, together with my team, we can achieve more. Myself and my team, we have always been proactive about pushing ourselves forward. We all have the same mindset, being results-driven and we delivered above expectations customer service and results every time,\u201d said Bautista.<\/p>\n
With the help of erstwhile general manager Odoca and the rest of the Hafa Adai Rent-A-Car, Bautista has improved the efficiency and helped increase the profit goals at the Oleai-based car rental company.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe have also repeatedly proven that we are willing to lend a helping hand to everyone when needed.\u201d<\/p>\n
As for her plans now that she\u2019s the general manager, Bautista looks to maintain the company\u2019s sustainable growth, expand its market to include Tinian and Rota, increase market share, and make Hafa Adai Rent-A-Car the leader in this industry within the CNMI.<\/p>\n
\u201cIn a very short period, we have managed to become a major player in the tourism market, catering primarily to the Korean and Japanese markets. As new markets open, we hope to aggressively pursue new markets.\u201d<\/p>\n
Prior to joining Hafa Adai Rent-A-Car, Bautista was already a staple in the car rental industry since 2015 and held various management positions starting with National-Alamo-Enterprise, Avis-Budget-Payless, and Islander<\/p>\n
Before making the jump to the car rental industry, she held a management position at LaoLao Bay Golf & Resort for 12 years.<\/p>\n
Bautista graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration Major in Marketing from the University of the East in Manila, Philippines.<\/p>\n
Happily married with three children, Bautista is also the president and the founder of M2 Fitness, a nonprofit fitness organization in the CNMI that offers a variety of free classes including Zumba.<\/p>\n
\u201cI enjoy helping in the community and this is my reason for being a member of the Rotary Club of Saipan and Saipan Marianas Lions Club. I also enjoy traveling and experiencing what other cultures have to offer.\u201d<\/p>\n
