{"id":401454,"date":"2023-11-09T14:00:00","date_gmt":"2023-11-09T14:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/?p=401454"},"modified":"-0001-11-30T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"-0001-11-29T14:00:00","slug":"Airport-8K-Veterans-Day-5K-this-Saturday","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/Airport-8K-Veterans-Day-5K-this-Saturday\/","title":{"rendered":"Airport 8K, Veterans Day 5K this Saturday"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Run Saipan\u2019s 2nd Annual Saipan International Airport 8K Trail Race &#8217;23 &amp; 5K Veteran&#8217;s Day Run is set for this Saturday at 6am at the Continental Road near the United Cargo.<\/p>\n<p>Enjoy the scenic view of runway 06\/07 and runway 24\/25 from the perimeter line and view aircrafts landing and taking off.<\/p>\n<p>Run Saipan president Edward Dela Cruz Jr. said there\u2019s no difference for this year&#8217;s course. \u201cIt serves as the adult cross country championship for the year partnered with the Commonwealth Ports Authority and the Northern Marianas Athletics.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He added, \u201cThe 5K is redubbed the Veterans Day 5k since it falls on the holiday and we would like to honor our veterans and for those who do not wish to run the full 8K.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Dela Cruz said for those who will run the 8K, they are awarding the Top 3 in the age divisions below: open and master\u2019s age divisions from 35-49, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, and 60+.<\/p>\n<p>For the 5K race, only the Top 3 male and female will be awarded medals.<\/p>\n<p>There are no prizes this year as they only had them in the inaugural race last year.<\/p>\n<p>There is also no student age group this year. \u201cWe had the PSS All Schools Cross Country for them.
