{"id":401553,"date":"2023-11-17T14:00:00","date_gmt":"2023-11-17T14:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/?p=401553"},"modified":"-0001-11-30T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"-0001-11-29T14:00:00","slug":"Matthew-Perry-s-Friends-co-stars-reminiscence-about-late-actor","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/Matthew-Perry-s-Friends-co-stars-reminiscence-about-late-actor\/","title":{"rendered":"Matthew Perry&#8217;s &#8216;Friends&#8217; co-stars reminiscence about late actor"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>LOS ANGELES<\/strong> (AP)\u2014All five of Matthew Perry\u2019s \u201cFriends\u201d co-stars are sharing more remembrances of the star in their first personal social media posts since the actor\u2019s death last month.<\/p>\n<p>Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow and Matt LeBlanc and David Schwimmer each posted heartfelt notes about Perry, who died Oct. 28, on Instagram. The posts on Tuesday and Wednesday were accompanied by photos from the \u201cFriends\u201d set.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn the last couple weeks, I\u2019ve been pouring over our texts to one another. Laughing and crying then laughing again,\u201d Aniston posted Wednesday, sharing a text message where Perry sent her photo of a script reading session where Perry made her laugh.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOh boy this one has cut deep&#8230; Having to say goodbye to our Matty has been an insane wave of emotions that I\u2019ve never experienced before,\u201d Aniston\u2019s post read.<\/p>\n<p>Kudrow became the fifth \u201cFriends\u201d star to pay personal tribute to Perry amid the wave of mourning.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThank you for making me laugh so hard at something you said, that my muscles ached, and tears poured down my face EVERY DAY,\u201d she said in an Instagram post. \u201cThank you for the best 10 years a person gets to have.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The stars issued a joint statement a few days after Perry\u2019s death, saying they were \u201call so utterly devastated by the loss of Matthew. We were more than just cast mates. We are a family.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Schwimmer posted a photo of him and Perry dressed up as \u201cMiami Vice\u201d characters, calling it \u201cone of my favorite moments with you.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNow it makes me smile and grieve at the same time,\u201d Schwimmer\u2019s post said.<\/p>\n<p>LeBlanc posted Tuesday: \u201cIt was an honor to share the stage with you and to call you my friend. I will always smile when I think of you and I\u2019ll never forget you. Never.\u201d His post included one candid shot of the cast all hugging on set.<\/p>\n<p>Perry was found dead last month at his Los Angeles home. After an initial investigation, the Los Angeles County coroner deferred giving a cause of death, which may take weeks to determine.<\/p>\n<p>Cox shared a video clip of a \u201cFriends\u201d scene where her and Perry\u2019s characters are in bed, trying not to have their relationship discovered. It\u2019s an iconic moment of the show, and Cox shared a bit of backstory about filming.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn this scene, before we started rolling, he whispered a funny line for me to say,\u201d Cox posted. \u201cHe often did things like that. He was funny and he was kind.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am so grateful for every moment I had with you Matty and I miss you every day,\u201d she wrote.<\/p>\n<p>Most of the posts references how sweet, funny and thoughtful Perry was.<\/p>\n<p>LeBlanc ended his note with a bit of comedy, writing: \u201cSpread your wings and fly brother you\u2019re finally free. Much love.
